SUMMER CAMP!

Bring your horse/pony along to Portree Stables for a weekend of fun with Whole Horse Solutions!
After great success of Whole Horse Solution’s Easter Camp, I am very excited to invite you all along to the Summer camp! So, what’s on offer? Well here are a few things to give you an idea…
- Group Lessons
- Private Lessons
- Flatwork
- Jumping
- Groundwork/Handling
- Lunging
- Hacking out/Road Safety (if appropriate to do so)
- Basic Tack and tack fitting
- Introduction to Equine Behaviour
- Introduction to Equine physiology PLUS,
visiting physiotherapist to include talk, discussions and advice!
This camp is suitable for all levels of rider, so why not bring your four-legged friend on a mini holiday with others alike, have some fun and learn something new!
What to expect…
In true camp style, riders will be bunking up on site, with their horses/ponies tucked up in our main stable block.
Bedding and hay will be provided; hard feed to be supplied by owner if required, or if you require haylage.
For riders, all meals will be included. Breakfast, soup and sandwiches for lunch and organised evening meals will be provided. Anyone with specific dietary requirements should arrange suitable meals themselves and/or discuss in advance with Iona.
Schedule...
Riders and their horses are expected to arrive on the afternoon/evening of Thursday 11th, ready to start on Friday morning! Horse boxes are welcome to park up for the weekend until departure on Sunday.
Riders will be expected to carry out all care for their horse/pony over the weekend. This will include mucking out, daily yard tasks, bedding down and night checks, all under supervision as part of the weekend. Riders will ride every day in appropriate allocated groups and will also receive one private lesson where their specific individual aims can be addressed.
BOOKING required to secure your place. This should be made with Iona by Friday 14th June.
PAYMENT required by Sunday 30th June - £220
All you will need to bring is yourself, your horse and appropriate camping gear!
Although I try to fill your time here with as much as possible, I do keep extra time aside for anyone who has any specific issues they may want to address while they have the opportunity.
If there is anything that you seek extra advice on, then please do let me know in advance so I can make sure you get the dedicated time required.
I hope to replicate the same environment created at our Easter Camp by having a relaxed, fun, educational and flexible weekend for everyone to gain something from, and for our horses to have just as good a time as us!
